Headlight question

Did early series IIs ever have headlights other than 7" sealed
beams? A mate has taken a bulb out of his and the local motor
factors have come up with blank looks and nothing else...

Take it it's not a military spec light with a pre focus bulb by
any chance is it? thats the only thing I can think of

Haven't got any pics to hand to show ya (still in the sandy
place) but I think quite a few older cars (poss pre war era)
used pre focus bulbs as do the old military spec headlights,
found this out not long after getting my FFR and had one go, so
possibly there was someone with some 7 inch lights that used
those bulbs and fitted is my only thought mate :)
