Odd brake pipe question

Hi,the bit of flexi brake pipe that connects the brake reservoir
to the master cylinder on a S3 with no servo - is this special
hydraulic hose or can I just use petrol pipe/will it just
dissolve before my eyes?

Why don't you try a bit of your petrol pipe in a bath of brake
fluid? On my S3s the reservoir has been integral with the
cylinder...

Try an old brake hose.
The material's fit for purpose...not sure about the
diameter/fitment measurements though.

I thought it was bigger diameter than normal brake pipe?

I would expect your local hydraulics place should have some
thing suitable, Pirtek or some such like supplier.

I'll get my Yellow Pages out and look for a hydraulics place -
they'll probably tell me to get stuffed when I ask for 2" of
pipe though.

I've found that many industrial places are more than happy to
sell for cash, especially if you don't want a receipt ;-), I
think the small cash amounts tend to make their way to the brew
fund.
