Hello all tis me on a rare visit!
Thanks for the pictures Mark it was lovely to see Sue and
Yourself. Sally and I have owned the roller since 2006 and have
put many hours into it. It was completed at Alan Sparkes' place
at Stanton Drew near Bristol, it was here we lagged the boiler
with a ceramic blanket and the roller gained the nickname the
Stanton Drew Space Project!
I have known the engine since I was a lad so We were glad to be
able to buy it and keep it in England, against interest from
Europe.
The GDSF was a very good show this year and proves that road
rollers are the way forward so much so ive bought another, a
1930's Wallis and Steevens Advanced motor roller ex W W Buncombe
of Highbridge Somerset. It had to come home and is less than 500
yards from its old yard!
I will try to poke my head in more often from now, even if i do
have a air sprung V6 powered LR
Edd

Good to catch up with you and Sally too Edd - as a point of
interest, I think the GDSF is being featured on Country File
this Sunday evening - 15/09/2013.
