My 126 quite possibly the most fun car I've ever driven, if only
it didnt break so often!

having already owned a few of the cars already in this thread i
think i'd be looking for a Volvo Amazon estate for a properly
usable classic as a "new" to me motor, family members had a few
of the saloons when i was younger and i feel they're a "just
right" shape with timeless good looks

modern but engine in the boot, what's not to like?

Lovely (apart from the stupid tint and ugly wheels).
Have you seen the superb 2-part promotional film on youtube? If
not, search for 'Tatra happy journey'.
Although the older ones are so much nicer, I wouldn't say no to
a modern incarnation:

If I lived in an alternate universe where Leafsprung Landies
didnt exist, and where car insurance premiums didnt require a
remortgage, then I'd quite happily tool around in the best Q-car
ever:

I'm afraid the Lotus badge swings that out of the Q-car
equation, Matthew.
The ultimate in Q-car'age is this South African built (I think)
zenith of unassuming but 'don't fuck with us' bit of BL'ness.
Jizz at your leisure...

I don't know if it's clear to you, Piers, but the name 'Marina'
at the bottom of the bonnet would usually give it away to most
connoisseurs of 1970s coupe fastback 1.3 litre throbbing metal
motoring.
BL had a licenced plant at Blackheath in SA; and as this looks
like an apartheid'ish plate (white over black), I've deduced
it's South African.
But, then again, they drive on the left over there, so the photo
and car are from Who-the-fuck-knows-where.
