Loads and loads of vehicle porn! Lot 105 looks like one of
those Broom and Wade compressor conversions, does it not? Or
has the front panel been moved forward for the engine?

That 2B would be a useful weapon; just a shame about the engine
conversion, as the VIN it has indicates it was only the 4th of
@360 6-cyl models done for the home market.
Don't know about the 2A being an Airdrive, as the rad looks a
bit RR and has perhaps, as Stuey suggests, simply been shifted
for the engine conversion (not that there's any need). However,
the stack air intake may indicate compressor demand.
Oh! For a wad of dosh and a low-loader.

I would guess at a Broom & Wade AirDrive... certainly looks like
the others I have seen from the outside (though this is a later
model than any others I have seen)
Some great kit in that auction!

Jolly good afternoon out.
The 109 was indeed an airdrive but pretty much devoid of all
fittings except the PTO. It made £500 and went to a bloke who
lives two villages from us and was in the RAF with Lozza! What's
the chances, eh?

FC was nice; pretty ropey rot wise, clearly ex-BT, had done
bugger all real work.

Two people really wanted it and it pissed past £2000, Steve will
have the final figure but the fella who bought it clearly wanted
it for work and going by the completely awesome Unimog he rocked
up in, it will be a very nice job when done.

That was it series wise apart from a couple of BMC diesel blocks
with conversion plates and a rusty 2.25 bottom end. Big Scammell
didn't sell; Unipower was cheap, Commer was VERY cheap (sub
£1000), Bedford timber tractor oh-so-nearly went to an OLLRer
but the other bidder was like a nodding dog and clearly wanted
it no matter what.
The ERF just out of shot was dog rough, in it's favour it had a
Rolls engine and a proper sleeper cab and had been owned a local
haulier to me but looked to be an abandoned project.

What was the rack-saw like in the end?
The Marshall went for more than I wanted to pay. I'm quite tight
fisted, and carriage costs have to come into the equation.
Shame, as it had the two support benches with it, which are
often quite hard to find.
