       The road home

The B9007, Middle of Absolutely No-where, about 20 miles north
of Carrbridge. Great drive home tonight, pity nothing from Lode
       Lane was involved.

Sorry Dave, I'm in the Trossachs - I was up at Kinloss for a
meeting, the guy gave me a tip about this road as cutting 15
mins off the time back to the A9.
Superb bit of road tho, miles and miles of single track through
some glorious scenery - and no other vehicles. A cold front was
coming through, hence the clouds and some strong winds, made it
       all very atmospheric.

Very different scale but I would occasionally commute over here:

Wrynose and Hardknott. Cracking road at night on something like
       the Classic Illuminations Rally.

Prof - Please tell me you ain't one of those truck drivers that
love creating rolling roadblocks all the way North ? I was stuck
behind some beggar in a Cement truck yesterday who was crawling
along at 40, too much oncoming traffic to get past and would he
budge over, would he hell. Must have followed him for near on 20
miles. The sooner they finish "Dualling" the A9 the better. I
understand their latest wheeze to cut down fatalities is to
stick average speed cameras all the way up it :2mo5pow:

Ah yes the average speed camera scheme on the A9
Over what distance will they "average"?
So if you get stuck for 20 miles behind a 40mph truck, and you
then do the next 20 miles at 80mph, still averaging 60, will you
       get a ticket?
The problem is the 40mph speed limit for artics. Most ignore it
and do at least 50, but some, most notably supermarket delivery
trucks stick rigidly to the 40 limit.

im usually 'on the limiter' :rolleye0012:
but i will drop down to 40 for the speed cameras :loser:
and if another wagon flashes a warning
i agree about the supermarket wagons also :2mo5pow:
