my brother got me a subscription to lro as my christmas
gift........ but as robert said there are so many ads it gets
anoying. i moved house in october and i really didnt know how
many mags i had collected since 1995!!!!!!!! :o looking back
through the older mags thay seem so much better, even the ads
supplying parts are set out better, instead of a lot of shit on
one page, you have series, 90,disgay and ragerover all set set
       out nice and tidy.

OLLR is a far better read than ANY of the mags. Don't give
       them magazines your money.

No offence Strang, but having bought a few issues of OG it
seemed to be a bit, well, light on content.
chally2 - I heartily recommend Classic and Sports Car magazine -
having subscribed to this since 2001 it is still, IMO, the best
classic car mag out there. It is a huge tome, stuffed full of
info, good article to advert ratio and the articles themselves
are superbly researched and written covering everything from
rare vintage gems to 70s company car fodder. They have a great
panel of writers as well, incldung Alan De Cadenet and Simon
       Taylor

Classic and Sports Car is probably my fave classic car mag as
well. Though the articles do still feature inaccuracies from
time to time, but not that often. Practical Classics is
featuring too much tat for my liking. Octane is a bit snobby,
but has amazing articles and photography, and the adverts are
for expensive Patek Phillipe watches not bolt on crap :D Great
       magazine, if a little pricey.
I only buy them when they have a feature in I am interested in,
or I am getting a long train journey somewhere or something.
Otherwise, the money is best put in my fuel tank.

I get Old Glory as well but much prefer Vintage Spirit, you can
       usually get it in WHSmith.

I bought LRM for first time in a few years recently.
       .
Trevor Cuthberts welding on a rad frame is abismal, does this
guy have a clue? also using builders galvanised strapping to
hold various bits to his latest money no object Ashtree /
Richards chassis advertisment vehcile. In fact the welding on
the 200tdi series one project last month is not much better. I
thought the idea was supposed to show people how it should be
       done properly?
Also another uninteresting project - how much electrical tat can
be fitted to a 08 110 station wagon?!
And using the lid of a treacle tin to blank off a fuel tank
       pickup hole???
On plus side some interesting articles, and they seem to have
ditched the pompous t$$t columnist who used to use an entire
page telling us about his holiday home in Borneo
