Spring bush removal.

So, we bought an S3 Truck cab for the lad as he's hit 17.
Part-finished project. Parabolics on the front, rear ones slung
in the back, not fitted. Made a start on it today....
So, I'm working on removing the rear o/s bush - mostly cos its
the easiest to get at. Where I'm at is that the nut came off OK
and with a bit of heat burning the rubber I've got the bolt
turning, but its obviously got the sleeve totally welded to it -
to the extent that the sleeve is stuck against the shackle on
one side and every turn of the bolt is bending the other shackle
further out and away....but getting harder as the angle
increases.
So, should I just cut the bolt both sides of the bush and
mole-grip the stub out of the threaded section on the shackle or
do I keep going on unscrewing the bolt...with a socket on a 2ft
breaker bar - in the hope that the pressure will spring the
sleeve loose ?

personally, I'd cut it off and fit new bolt

1mm cutting disc to cut the bolt, then run a 25mm holesaw
through the bush to remove the rubber, if the outer is stuck (it
will be) thread a hacksaw blade through it and put the blade
back in the saw handle upside down then cut through the outer
sleeve and batter it out :thumbs:
You can try using a threaded rod and sockets to push it out but
I reckon that's only any good for fitting new ones.
PS clean any burs with a file before refitting.

I found an SDS 5KG demolition hammer drill handy during the bush
removal process.
