Morris lubricants make a degreaser called Lydian which I think
is water soluble :thumbs:but check with a grown up in case I've
got it wrong :haha:

Autosmart degreaser, Plus 10, works well and has a corrosion
inhibitor too. About 50 quid for a 25 litre barrel, or at least
it used to be. Alternatively neat nasty TFR is good as bob86
says but be careful with it on paintwork.

Works very well on cylinder heads, followed by a cycle in the
dishwasher, followed by an extended period of wifey knees being
firmly closed. :haha:

Paraffin in the parts washer for me and for general de oiling of
big stuff like engines I now use a wetter/adjuvant; basically
its an additive we sometimes need to put in crop spray mixes to
de wax leaves of plants to allow the chem to get to work - and
its ace for cleaning engines, pour it on, leave it and then wash
it of. It doesn't hurt plants so it isn't going to hurt any
metal :o :o :smilewide:
