LATP 2013 ......Donation total

Right folks the news that you have (hopefully)been waiting for
has landed .
BUT before i reveal the total ...I think a few words are in
order IF you will humour me .
After a great deal of hard work by the folks that get together
and help make LATP what it has become ...And believe me I am
only a small part of the whole,Vinny and Tracey play a massive
part in proceedings and I couldn't do it on my own .
We had what I personally thought was an especially excellent
event this year ...with beer aplenty (provided by AlexB,Hippy
Dave,and myself along with contributions of some very special
Sloe Gin provided by MickSWB and some dodgy stuff from over the
water in N.I. from DKSIII ...fortunately we could all still see
the morning after lol .
The prizes by The Gadgets were fantastic and goody
bags/subscriptions provided by Classic Landrover very welcome .
The fact that so many folks pitch in and help with the actual
running of the event means a hell of a lot AND makes things a
million times easier ...Special thanks to Calums young lady Alex
who was a stalwart on the gate and money chasing duties,Helping
us maximise the amount raised for the museum :thumbs:.
Mr and Mrs Gadget,Hippy dave,George,Luke,Emma,Toby,Annabel,Mr
and Mrs OVS ...and a good few others were fantastically
enthusiastic AND helpful too .
The lead up to this years LATP has been something of a
bittersweet lead up for me personally with some changes within
the forum "management" leaving me something of a bitter taste in
my mouth,
To the point of me feeling disenfranchised enough to say i was
no longer going to be behind the organising of LATP in further
years ...
However this years event has confirmed what I already knew,in
that the event cannot be tainted by events outside of it ...
So
If no one has any objections I will get on with the organising
of LATP 2014 AND making it bigger and better than ever with even
more leafers together to make 2014 a bumper year and see if we
cannot beat this years total of .............

YES that IS £1139.20
Well over last years total of £860 ...And a remarkable total
Well done everyone AND massive massive thanks from both me and
the NCM .

No objections at all from me, Ian. Despite recent goings on I
hope we can somehow work together and if there's any way you can
use the forum to help to organise things and people I'll be
happy to facilitate things and, hopefully, we can put it all
behind us in the not too distant future.
Excellent result on the money raised. :thumbs:

well done all for the event its a shame i missed it
luckely i broke down near home on an event here which i last
broke down on fifteen years ago
must try to make it some how next year

Grand stuff :smilewide:, it's getting a bit like those Charity
telethon thingies (Children in Need, Comic Relief et al) where
each year get's bigger and bigger :thumbs:

Excellent change of mind there Icey. You've become synonymous
with Leafers and glad you're continuing on with the tradition
that it's become. It's probably already the national number one
event for leaf sprung landrovers and that's something you,
Tracey, Vinny, the Gadgets, Hippy Dave et al can be justifiably
proud about. Great total; the NCM will be happy with that
cheque. :thumbs:
