       Hello form the lowlands

       Hi there,
Just bought my first Land Rover yesterday so I figured I needed
a place to search for info and ask stupid questions.
It is a 1963 series 2 109 body looks nice, it stops and goes
just fine and it has some nice opportunities for me to improve
       my welding ;)
I am a Dutch guy, I engineer yacht interiors for a living and
play with cars as a hobby
Until now it has only been old MG's and the odd mini for me and
my wife, never done modern cars as they are just no fun.
       We now have
-1966 MG midget (fast fun my daily when public transport does
not get me where I need to go)
-1974 MGB GT (last of the chrome bumpers bog standard my wife's
       daily)
-1932 MG D-type (pre-war race car special to be now a pile of
       bits)
I've always wanted a more rugged addition to our fleet, and
since my wife recently decided to park my midget backwards in to
a ditch rendering it unsuitable for use for the next 6 months
       now was the time.
The 109 is a UK car that a friendly trader will import for us.
Always did it my self with all the other cars but he offered it
with Dutch registration for a good price so I took the layzy
       route.
It will be delivered half way through September so for now I
just have some reading to catch up on
       Thanks for having me here.
       Regards,
       Onno

       Welkom !
Land Rovers drijven niet dus oppassen bij water...
Have fun - they are as simple as other UK cars from that
       period..
