Mistys LPG tank is 80ltr cylinder shape and boxed in behind the
seat bulkhead Ok we lose use of two sests but you can put other
bits to store in that area That way they dont roll around the
back area Engine sounds just as good as when she runs on petrol

I love the TDI in my 88" but it had a transit di fitted when I
bought it. That got a bit broken in Wales a few years back along
with the chassis and gearbox (oops!) Dropped the 200 straight on
to the mounts on the new galvy chassis and away I went. Disco
diffs give great motoring and plenty of oomph.
Wouldn't put one in the 101 though.

I did.
The best thing I've done to it.

Yeah, but Lucy's 101 sounds fantastic with its straight through
(or is it non existent?) exhaust.
A great sound at the start and finish of each day at t'Pit

Personally I would stick with petrol.
I've got a Tdi in my 80" but plan to swap it for a V8 or some
other nice smooth quiet petrol engine!
Having been at 'pit all weekend and heard loads of ace
2.25petrols, and Calum's 6 pot, the Tdi has to come out! fuck
the economy and money saving I'd rather be able to hear what my
passenger is saying...

Soon as I can afford it a reconditioned 2 litre is going back in
mine.
The fuel economy with a conversion is great (in my case a Prima)
but it just ain't the same!

I'm uming and aring about a 2ltr again Kev! It's a toss up
between that, a nice 2.25 like T had in Hatty, a V8, a V6 or
straight 6. So any petrol engine really ;D Although I do have a
V8 sat there that just needs a timing chest and internal gubbins
if any one has any spare bits?

If it is the hill I am thinking of, then it was 60 with a
trailer in tow all the way up, and all with a factory fit
engine.... :smile1
