I was so close to LATP as well, only 15 miles more.
Engine started making strange noises, water disappeared, oil
turned grey and while cranking over it is obvious two cylinders
have no compression.

That is indeed a bugger. You've got sympathy from all of us.
Would the AA have delivered you to LATP? The crowd could have
probably helped whip the head off over the weekend.

Nope I got back to my workshop. Not many people have a Cummins
6B head gasket set in their back pocket.

i seen one of your youtube videos - on you testing the engine
and gearbox assembly with body still in skeleton state.
:thumbs: the 6bt sounds nice and mean enough
hope work on it is done by now :) sorry to hear you missed the

Every bus garage with Dennis Darts, assuming a 6B gasket is the
same as a 6BT. Night shift fitter will sell their own granny for
a drink... ;-)

Indeed, as does the DAF spares place almost next to my work.
Sadly the local busses are not Dennis Darts and the DAF spares
place place's pricing policy doesn't fit my pocket. It'll be £60
off Ebay or £600 from DAF for a head gasket set.
