A number of v8 base questions!

All based on a series conversion i am doing....
       1. where can i get longer flywheel bolts than standard?
       2. Spigot bush i assume i use a series type
       3. Is there a cover plate between the block and the adaptor
plate as i have a big gaping hole showing the flywheel! so im
       missing something??
       4. I have an oil filter conversion plate but the thread where
the oil filter screws on is too small for the adaptor so where
       there 2 types?
       5. I have a hole in the back of the inlet manifold, what bolts
       on there??
       Thanks guys

1: Any decent bolt suppliers can copy the
thread/strength/material and supply the right length.
2: All relative to whether the flywheel or crank /spigot adaptor
is machined to accept it. Do NOT use a steel one, they weld
themselves to the input shaft over time.
3: On Auto boxes, yes, normally there is a cover plate.
Uncertain about you particular application. Some have extensions
on them for bolting a strengthening plate to the sump.
4: Likely to be a difference between metric and Imperial
threads. I have heard of Renault screw on filters having the
correct thread. Possibly duw to them being really small too....
worth taking your adaptor with you when you go get the flywheel
bolts, they can measure the thread and you can get "surfing".
       Although, avoid anything by Fram.
5: Likely to be water jacket related, might just need a bung in
it. I would blow through the hole and discover where you blow
into, before trying to mix air and water.....

Early SD1 and some RR engines had a smaller thread for the oil
filter. I forget the size but it is the same as a Perkins Prima!
Mine had a tin cover bashed to fit the gap in the flywheel
       housing.
Get a pic of the inlet manifold, it could be a few things.

ok this is helping so i can make up a plate to cover the hole
then, The inlet manifold is a bit hole in the center at the rear
with a bolt hole either side to bolt a housing on as theres the
       remains of a gasket.
Another thing, anyone know the size of core plugs, the main
block big ones and how to fit them, i have one but cant bash it
in so maybe its slightly too big??

normally has a water outlet pipe - feeds water to heater
I dont think you can blank it off as this would stop water flow?
and may cause an air lock in manifold.
