wipers not parking

My 2a has the single wiper motor like the S3 etc but is the
early Square single speed motor.
when turned off, just stops
I know its not an MOT fail item, but annoys me
Is there a simple cure for this? the round motor has a parking
switch that is replaceable, my type doesn't
strip & rebuild? or live with it?

That's how they are on the late 2a's, there is no 'park' as
such and what you have to do is switch off the switch when they
are in the lowest position.
I can be stood corrected, but that's how it works on my later
2a and I also know that there is an earlier and later version
that is fitted to the 2a, maybe the later version featured a
park :-?

swap the motor for a series three version - the one with the
plastic bit on the front - it is the parking bit

I'd thought about that, but then the wiring needs altering etc
etc

My series 3 has no park either but after a while you master
getting it to the home position.
Its like a challenge. :smilewide:

try it with two individual motors (earlier 2a) that run at
different speeds and can be switched off with a single switch,
it's nigh on impossible to get them both parked out of vision
