They were destined for you, I thought you had got them ages
ago.
If there no longer needed, I could make use of them as I was
after making use of them a couple of months back :smilewide:

It's a bugger that you aren't organising it from here on in but
hats off to you mate (not forgetting Tracy and Vinnster's part
in past leafers). Music wise - pretty much as past leafer events
but a cool down with some Neil Young or Nick Drake might fit the
bill. You might say a bit of yin and yang. Having said that if
Drew is in attendence I fully expect a convoy of Sankeys full to
the gunwales of his vinyl collection with a Linn Sondek LP12 set
atop the lot. Hell have some Neil, Nick an Roy Harper with no
doubt.

I thought I was nicely set up for bringing the Minerva to LATP,,
Sat morning ran some batteries into the scrappy with it and all
was fine until I had to stop in the road at the end of my drive
to allow oncoming traffic to pass. Chnged down to second and
waited clutch down, When I stopped the gearbox went funny, I
could not get it out of second, Into first or anything. In
desperation I let the clutch up and it jumped out of second.
Could not select first so tried to set of in second. Just
jumped out of gear. Managed to get first, and drove up the
drive. Dropped trhe drain plug and bearing shield and other
crap came out. Decided gearbox is terminal.

Emergency plan is to bring the 101" But I want to bring the
Minerva,
Yesterday I got thefloors out tunnel off, seat base off and
dropped one end of propshaft and spent two hours on the computer
chasing gearboxes.

Bought one last evening. Today I have driven to Yorkshire
collected same, got the old box out, swapped the RHD clutch
release for LHD version, swapped gearbox mounts, and various
other bits, and have the new box back in the minerva, and taken
time to free off the tight handbrake mechanism,.

I have to source some 3/8 Copper pipe to remake the reservoir to
Master cylinder brake pipe that did not survive the gearbox
change and put everything back I took off and I have only a few
evenings. I may yet get the Minerva along, elsewise I will see
you with the 101" Mike
And this gearbox has got to prove to be a good one! Let us
hope!

I might well have an A or a B suffix 2a box I can lend you if
need be... should be a small shaft you can swap bellhousing onto
if required... But it's gonna take some rooting out.. I will
need a clear two day's notice!! It's buried under a shitload of
other crap!
