Seeking advice whether this tyre size below is suitable for my
SIII SWB. Rolling diameter ok? Ive got 235/85R16 (worn out)
which are a bit BIG and rub here and there.

       215/75R16 L/T ALL TERRAIN TYRE

as grabbed off an online comparison calculator i sometimes play
       with
       235/85R16
       Section Width:
       Rim Diameter:
       Rim Width Range:
       Overall Diameter:
       Sidewall Height:
       Radius:
       Circumference:
       Revs per Mile:
       215/75R16
       Section Width:
       Rim Diameter:
       Rim Width Range:
       Overall Diameter:
       Sidewall Height:
       Radius:
       Circumference:
       Revs per Mile:
as you can see they'll be about 3" smaller in height and 3/4"
narrower this should reduce the risk of rubbing but will also
lose you approximately 1.5" clearance under the axle
the site i use doesn't guarantee absolute accuracy with thier
calculations due to different manufacturers slightly different
mouldings but it's about the best i can do
i reckon the tyres will fit and will probably match 6.00 tyres
in height but be 2.5" or so wider, what may be more of interest
is the rims you are using and thier offset but i'll be starting
to get a little out of my depth there without sitting down and
physically comparing stuff and checking clearances etc'
loads of folks use 235/85 tyres without any problems but that
could be because of the terrain traversed (tarmac only maybe)
       and or rims fitted

205's were standard fit for 88's I believe, so you should be
       fine.

Im ready to buy but I cant make a bloody decision., donk

yep Ill stick to the big one. the 205s look small. thanks,
that gives it a clear perspective. Has got to be 7.50s or 235s
       for me. donk.

I have a set of 4 235/70/16 tyres spare, they're the same tread
as Harry's Insa turbo saharas but are the Amazon brand ones.
Very good tread on them, I'm looking for £150.
I can get a picture but not for about 3 weeks as I'm off to the
south of France on Friday and they're up the shed.

How much tread is on them Luke? Might be interested as I've some
Wolf rims I'm looking to put on Gun and swap the 130 rims and
       XZL's onto my Series 2.
