Currently nursing a distended stomach after a weapons grade
dinner; swilling Flemish and English ale.
Wankered and stuffed.
Drove Dougal today in an off-road scenario...spunked my keks.

Back home at 18:30 after Dougalizing our way from Bannegon in 3
hours.
Stig spreading his mat at ours for a couple days, following a
week-end of mediocritry and a staggering wealth of trailer
queens.
Great meal last night; great to se An, Carl, Christophe and Mr &
Mrs Van den Berg, plus a host of other decent people. However,
if you've been to Bannegon, it was like that.
Pics tomorrow or when I can be arsed to load them on to the Mac
and Picturebooket, whatever it's called.

Some pics of the Bannegon week-end.
Here was my ride up there, in the shape of Roland and Frederic
in the former's great 109"SW. They'd stayed at mine on the
Thursday night and kindly gave me the lift that Stig couldn't,
due to his alternator shitting itself situation/delay in

These following three pics are of an Armagnac-soaked buffoon who
trashed a once-nice S3 truck-cab. Tackling stuff he really ought
not to and having already snapped his front diff pinion, he
decided this pile of tractor tyres, with guaranteed cross-axle
action and, hence, a see-sawing motor with a screaming engine
and single spinning rear wheel, was within his ability. He
fancied he had the Cobleyness to crawl the thing off...the site
owners and anybody with clarity of vision knew otherwise; so out
came the excavator to stop him rolling the ride. He also caved
his wings in, had his bumper barley-sugared, as well as later
being winched out of ankle-deep puddles with a bit of grime in
them...

That these snaps are presented as illustrative of the Land-Rover
aspect of the week-end is proof that ditch-water is less dull.
There was a nice S3 88" which was decked-out in 'Renault
Service' decals of the garage which the retired driver of the
bus used to own. It had a great shed-made scaffold-crane thing
on the back which nicely surrounded the door and which used to
hoist and tow breakdowns. Whilst on the negative side, there was
an absolutely spotless 80" which was, predictably, trailered to
the very spot which it sat for the duration and didn't budge,
with a cover lobbed over every night. I wanted to hot-wire the
barge and screw it 'round the spread, just to doughnut some
filth up the wings.
There were some nicely kept and used examples...but no better or
worse than ought to be taken for granted.
People-aspect was good and the grub excellent...could have been
anywhere though.
Real highlight was sitting in Dougal as he made the
'Kick-Start-esque' off-road course look like driving over
matchsticks, then me gassing it all the way down to my spread,
never once going for the sixth gear it needs and tickling
reverse.
Overall...5/10.
