Halfords pro case

Well after about 5 years of use my case finally snapped in two
yesterday :(
I liked it as it kept some order and i knew my way round it and
lost tools were never a problem
so, rather than lobbing the 150 pieces in a toolbox (which i
have done) has anyone any ideas on a suitable replacement,
It needs to be portable with some degree of order.

Have you considered asking halfords if the lifetime guarantee
covers the case - might be worth a go

I havnt asked Halfords but have heard rumour that the case isnt
covered by the guarantee

my case was changed under the guarantee when the plaggy hinges
at the back broke

I have overcome the problem in the passed by making a plywood
try to fit into a tool box. The sockets where held on the metal
spring clips (that are sold in strips 1/2, 3/8" and 1/4").
Dividers where fitted to hold Ratchets and extension bars. The
ply wood can have the socket sizes written on it.If you put a
top handle on it it can be carried around independently of the
tool box. Hope this is helpful.

I would not trust Halfrauds with there life time guarrntee, I
had some ratchet wrenches they said had a life time guarantee
but it only seems thet guarantee it as long as you don't use it
;D

To be fair they have changed a couple of the screwdriver sockets
that shattered when i used them, i ve got a couple more to
change so might just ask about the box, thing is, its the old
type with the full length placky hinge and i very much doubt
they will have any of them.
