Great job.
I'll be doing my first ever swivel tomorrow, so it's good to
hear yours went well

Thanks Folks
Wooden, that's a good question
the answer is, i dunno rofl it's the leftovers from when i
built Big Ears, a gallon of red oxide goes a very long way and
i'm guessing it'll do the under pinnings of maybe four
landrovers, the chassis black though "might" do three
i'll try to remember to get the makers names tomorrow
Craigderby, they're surprisingly easy to strip and build, the
worst bit is trying to get greasy gaitors in place and stitched
up, i've still got to set the shimming up as i think there's
still too much resistance but i'll complete/check that once i
have the axle under the chassis
DON'T forget to buy new locking tabs like i have :banghead
(minor setback) buy a few extra shims as well, grease/oil
everything as you assemble it

a little update...
John bought his engine here saturday to help fill my garage up
even more
today i took a little run out to Craddocks and spent a pleasant
half hour there buying yet more bits to assist assembly, AP
clutch and 9.5" pressure plate along with assorted other little
bits
got back home and dug his springs out from the pile, they'd
already been steam cleaned so i tidied the outer surfaces up
with the whizzy wire mop, fitted new bushes and coated them with
some nicely thinned paint, then half an hour later i set about
attaching them to the chassis
all now bolted in loosely along with the axle tube clamped in, i
think i'll be replacing the U bolts as i'm not too happy with
them :( which means another shopping trip :banghead , i might
even get chance to bolt one of the swivels on tomorrow
pictures tomorrow when there's light to take them

finally decided i needed to spend a day on Johns motor (back to
normal repairs tomorrow) so i got my arse into gear and dragged
the engine out of my garage, lifted the gearbox off the board
straddling the chassis and bolted them together, trusty engine
hoist out and we now have this ;D

i then decided to have a bit of a look at clocking the turbo and
worked out that my circlip pliers are nowhere near big enough
:banghead so started on the cutting and modifying of the 200
rad' frame ready to mount the same as i did Big Ears one
it's now back under cover but looks lots lumpier than it did a
few hours ago and i "think" i've got more space in me garage
rofl
