Worth a looksy.....

Not a question, more an observation,
I had the displeasure of brake failure whilst attempting to
stop at the end of the A66 the other eve :o
Turned out to be the axle check strap had rubbed its way through
the copper pipe on the drivers side. A combination of the pipe
being pushed too close to the strap and also running some
weighty itmes in the back causing the strap to 'hang lose' seems
to have casued this to happen;
....so it maybe worth a looksy....
Thats is all. ;D

I know, thanks Jim; I didn't fancey it on mole grips; if i'd
some proper brake clamps then I may have.
Anyway, I rejoiced in the fact that it cost the RAC getting on
for £800 to get me home cos they subbed it out. ;D ;D ;D

Erm, how did the check strap get anywhere near the brake pipes,
The brake pipe shields should keep them well away

You mean it's not the shocker's job to limit axle travel!
