Series 3 with V6 Essex conversion.

Hi Guys
I have a Series 3 with a Steve Parket LR V6 Essex Ford
conversion, weber carb. Runs well but thirsty. Does anyone have
experience of running these on LPG.
Who would be a supplier for LPG conversion kit.

I am not sure if the Essex v6 had unleaded valve seats as
standard somebody else on here should be able to answer that ,
as regards a supplier Tinley Tech would be a good place to
start.

I used to get around 24mpg with the Essex in a LWB on petrol.
What are you getting?

That's pretty decent mpg out of an Essex my mate's Capri was
only good for 15-18 mpg and single figures weren't unheard off
if you were a bit heavy with the right boot,he's given up on the
V6 and in the middle of fitting a Yank V8,more power.more noise
similar mpg as they weigh a lot less than the Essex
