Rocky mountain door tops, how good?

My Dormi door tops are fucked... Its official....
I am contemplating forking out for the RMS ones, anybody here
got them and are they worth £300 (bearing in mind I am willing
to pay £300 if they are as good as I reckon)? If I leave them
in aluminium it will solve the old patina issue of swapping out
the old ones and leaving the rest in original paint.

The 101 ones were great kit.
Left them bare ali; too nice to paint :thumbs:

I have set on mine.
Apart from the obvious (will not rot) the fact that the front
glass slides too is a bonus. Not sure I would want to pay 300
notes for them though. Fortunately when I bought mine 6 years
ago they will a little more than half that price - which equated
to approx the cost of three fully glazed replacements for
Paddocks - so a no brainer at the time. I guess if you are
planing to keep the Landy then consider it an 'investment'?
Oh, and I left them bare ali - but as the paint scheme is
grey/limestone anyway they don't look too out of place - not
that I care

It is a lot of money, but I am working out what price on
longevity (I am not going to be selling the Dormi) and keeping
my Mrs happy and draught free (this is necessary due to
illness)...... I think I will order a set tomorrow, just the
trauma of getting the old rusted ones off to face!

I have them on mine, probably one of the best spent £200 or how
ever much they were.
No flapping around, good quality the catches seem flimsy but
have been abused by my offspring with out breaking.
The only downside would be the rear sliding window doesn't slide
as far forwards as the original and stops me from resting my
forearm on the frame whilst the window is open.

I have ex military on mine - £110 for a pair pf doors and I have
seen some on ebay very recently for £200. They are great for
being able to open the front window a touch to clear the screen
and not have drafts.
£300 seems a tad steep, even if they are new

Do both panes open on the ex-mil ones?
You could make a song about that Mick... Roger, who the fuck is

Roger can be found on OLLR under another moniker, it just so
happens that Roger is his real name....
