P38 power steering conversion

Ok, ok, before you all start I havent turned queer or owt :gay:
Tis for my Mrs' S3. Honest ;D
Can anyone point me in the direction of a blow by blow list of
what I need to do the conversion and how its done? My Mrs thanks
you in advance ;D

Best place to find out about it is the Terri-Ann Expedition
Land-Rover site. No need to chop front cross member about either
but you need to be handy with a welder.
A "very good friend of mine" did it to his and it's he says it's
great... ;-)

Just had a quick scan of Terri Ann site. I can weld ok, but that

I'll be doing this when I re-chassis one of my Carawagons.
I've already got the new chassis, a P38 steering box with arm
and column, and there's a 300TDi going in so the pump is already
fitted.
The only part I'm not sure about until I start the job is what I
can use for a steering column.
I'd like to keep the original wheel and I've got various
sections of steering column with UJs so it will be a matter of
seeing what I can use.
I think others have used Debender columns :rolleye0012:
Oh, an my excuse is the manoeuvring I need to get the Carawagon
into its parking space in the front garden; lots of low speed
shuffling backwards and forwards, from lock to lock :2mo5pow:

Robin, I thought Team Carawagon had already done this mod?

No, it's for one of the Carawagons I bought to restore - I
should have been starting it earlier this year but not got
around to it yet :rolleye0012:
The problem is we've got two on the road so the urgency isn't
really there at the moment!
This will be the one which I hope to keep well into retirement,
I hope, so I'm not going to rush it (though I'm sure I won't
take as long as someone else who's been restoring his for what
seems like years :thumbs:)

RRC column I think it was Robin, non-adjustable version.
Probably also on 1992-3ish 'benders and discoveries.
