       Awesome sight.
       Reminds of the joke..
What's the similarity between Port Stanley airfield and Mrs
       Spock.
They've both been fucked by Vulcans!

Once took a friend and her sproglet to an airshow, the Vulcan
did its bit just as we got out of the landy. Kid burst into
tears. Day was a bust, after an hour of hysterical sobbing we
decided to go to the beach instead.
       :(

May years ago when I was a mere imp, we used to have an annual
air show down here on the South Island, at Bembridge Airfield,
IOW, anyroadup 1 year the commentator forgot to turn his mic off
as a Vulcan did a low level, wheels down pass, that was the PA
       system fucked then!........

Well my claim to fame is one of the buggers crashed in the field
at the back of our house
Made a hell of a mess, story is here
  HTML http://www.neam.co.uk/wingate.html
I was about 8 or 9 at the
time but still have a few of the bits and keep finding more in
       the back garden
My resounding memory was the plane flying over our school making
a hell of a racket and then a humongous BOOOOM as it hit the
       ground ;D ;D

I was standing right next to the runway at RIAT this year pretty
much level with where it left the ground on its takeoff run. I'd
long wondered what the hype about the "Vulcan Howl" was and by
       jove I soon found out!
It's a truly magnificent aircraft and I shall be very sad indeed
when they have to retire her in a few years at best
