Why!!!!

How to stop a diff leak,
1, remove diff from axle case
2, rebuild with new bearings and a seal from brammer (work
didn't know that they had a land rover axled truck on contract
;D ) though out.
3, fit new diff input drive flange.
4, refit into axle
5, fill with oil.
6, watch it dribble out.
The only part that came in a blue box was the diff drive flange,
it was tight in the seal so how the fuck is the damn thing still
leaking!!!!! :banghead

Blocked Axle breather? or as you say Britpart syndrome, might be
worth checking with the micrometer.

It's not pissing out, it's just no better than before. The axle
breather is piped up into the body, I don't think I'm ham
fisted.

You overfilled it with too thin a grade of oil, and parked on a
slope?

It's was just a vain hope that I could get a 55 year old thing
to stop leaking, this is gods way of telling me it's a land
rover, thou shall know when thine land rover is out of oil when
it dripeth no more, book of lubes, chapter 4, verse 9.

There's your mistake. No oil means no leaks

Is there scoring on the driveing flange. If there is then no
seal will seal it.
