Jon's Jinxy Rebuild

O.K - I thought it was about time I manned the fuck up, pulled
my thumb out my arse and got cracking.
Here are a few pics of my Jinxy - she’s a 88“ 1964 S2a 2.25
Diesel.
I’ve owned her for nearly 2 years now and she is slowly
disappearing
Here she looked like when we first moved up to the lakes last
year

Its been a tough old 8 month,we've moved house again, and
unfortunately she had to be left out over the winter.
This is what she looks like today!

She’s been badly neglected so its about time I brought her back
to life.
I've removed the dodgy bull bars (not pictured), roll cage and
chequer plate, I actually didn't mind the cage, except it was
badly wonky and I couldn't have any form of roof fitted (pretty
essential in Cumbria!)
Am a little undecided about the tree sliders - I think they are
ugly and clumsy, but don't want to eradicate all traces of its
previous life. I may need a new chassis anyway  so we'll
wait and see.

Engine bay - needs a bit of a clean up!

Think the rats have been in the wiring

The previous owner was a bit too enthusiastic with the welder
Door hinge

Rear leaf spring!

And most annoyingly the tub welded onto the chassis where the
roll bars used to be

But he managed to miss the big holes in the chassis and
bulkhead.....

The strip down started today - The aim is a rebuilt rolling
chassis by the end of September.
So time to skin my knuckles - I wonder if I'm up to date with
my tetanus jabs?!

Good luck dude, you will find more wrong as you strip it so bear
this in mind with the time scale you have.
