Popping and farting..

...whilst on the overrun and going downhill; the Land Rover that
is. So it tells me I've got an air leak somewhere. I sheared a
stud on the downpipe a while ago changing the starter motor so
it'll have to come off this weekend to see if I can get it out
as it shared at the bottom of the nut and not at the manifold.
Anyway, I think the middle pipe has seen better days so I think
I'll replace the exhaust system whilst I'm at it. What are these
Double S stainless steel one's like that Paddocks sell. Are they
any good or should I get one from elsewhere? The quality of
stainless steel can vary a lot. Mind you these exhausts carry a
lifetime guarantee as long as you have them annually inspected
by a garage or exhaust fitter (MOT anyone). Anyone rate them?

Double S systems are quite well regarded. I have one for the
Carawagon, but obviously have yet to try it over any time
period.. The quality is good however, with the only downside in
my eyes being that the clamp plates are mild steel and not
stainless like the rest of the system.

When I tried to get one from paddocks they were out of stock.
After a load of false promises I got bored waiting and got one
from rimmer brothers, can't fault their service.

Popping on overrun could be fuelling, I had it once when i still
ran the petrol, tweak of the carb and all sorted.
