What issues might there be fitting a 2.25 petrol and series 3

Hi,
As per the title. I believe that physically the fit will be fine
but how hard will it be to sort out the different clutch
configuration?

This is something I'm pondering myself having bought the 107 off
Parksy. I was discussing it with Kev at Ashtree Land Rover and
they are often asked to fit series 2/2a/3 footwells on series 1
bulkheads so the hydraulic later series clutch can be used. If
you're not fussed about originality it sounds like a good
option, later series parts for the clutch and brakes are easier
to get hold of for sensible money.

Getting the airflow across the engine to the carb can be tricky
too.... as the inlet hose and bonnet frame foul. Resist the
temptation to "channel" the elbow, as it restricts the air.

i have seen a master cylinder for the clutch bolted to the side
of the chassis using the series one pedal to operate the s3
clutch slave :thumbs:

Landyboy and my mate Jim put a clutch master cylinder alongside
the brake master down on the outrigger.

After welding the end of a spare brake pedal lever to the clutch
lever, it all bolted up perfectly and hey presto, one original
looking set up with a 5 speed gearbox.

Now I like that last solution - any other pics would be great
of pipework etc. Where did you mount the resovoir?
Saves messing with the pedals and the bulkhead.

I thought I had more pics, but I can't find them! I will get my
pal to take some more. It is all very simple though.
Used a combined clutch/brake reservoir with the two outlets from
a Series 2 and bolted it in the usual place.
