I've been with Footman James for a few years now.
Just over a ton for fully comp., with UK & European recovery,
with no changes when I declared my TDI to them.

It was £95 last year without breakdown cover, but reckoned the
BYT was worth having.
Dave, yep insurance is robbery.
I was musing over this lately, and I think should be to protect
yourself, not for third parties to claim from should you have a
bump, at fault or not. So if you choose not to have insurance
and someone prangs you motor you get nowt. It would stop no-win
no-fee crooks.
Would that work?

£340 for my 88 with NFU.
Non classic cover, no limited mileage and farm use so if I were
to roll it in a field, or on a so called green lane (with no
vehicular rights) upon which I am engaging in legit farming type
activites I am still covered. Even if towing.
Just over the ton IIRC for the Dormobile on a classic with RH
but not allowed to park on road overnight at home.
