2.25 to 2.5 n/a parts interchange?

Hi,I have a "new" 2.5 n/a Defender diesel engine which is
missing its fuel lift pump and its top pulley/fan - do 2.25 bits
fit?

The lift pump should fit but I'm happy to be corrected; the cam
is the same , the block casting is the same, the mating faces
I'm not sure about and obviously the bolts will need to be
metric ( have a look on a parts suppliers website and find
pictures of the gaskets, see if any difference) ........as for
the fan ; you can use the 2.25 fan but I'm not sure if you need
the pulley off the 2.25 or the 2.5pulley.....
not much help am I , ;D My 2.25 is up at the farm workshop and
the 2.5 in the motor here, so if know one else comes along to
help Ican have a look tomoz.......

Some lever arms are a different lenght but the side plate is
different to adapt this otherwise the same or swap the 6 bolt
plate as well .

I'm fairly sure the fan pulleys are different - 2.25 is pressed,
2.5 (certainly on the TD, and I think on the n/a as well) is
cast, and isn't the same dimensions (there is a saga of nordic
length revolving around Bitsa's bottom crank pulley which
explains how I know this).

Maybe if I can find a sherpa fan/pulley in a scrapyard that'll
fit?

2.25 pulley and fan will fit if you remove the big pastic one
and redrill the 2.25 items to take the M8 bolts required.

Thanks for that,I didn't get a fan or pulley when I won the
2.5n/a on Ebay to have as a spare engine.
