       'Numpty' Questions :)

       Heya all!
Thought I'd start a thread for people to ask the questions that
seem too daft to ask, if that makes sense :)
I figure there's probably a fair few 'newbies' to proper Landies
who've got these (aswell as experienced leafer lovers such as
       myself) :smilewide:
I'll start, does anybody know if the chassis bushes & spring
bushes (specifically the rear most spring bush) are the same?
I've got the rear most spring bush gone on the back of my 88" &
have some polybushes I brought for my 109", but have completely
forgotten what they are for! :rolleye0012: (& now have a full
       set fitted to the 109")
soo yeah, ask any 'daft' seeming questions here, to appeal to
the collective wisdom of OLLR >rock<
       xXx

Stuff like this you could answer yourself with the aid of a
parts catalogue which can be found from links in this thread
       here
  HTML http://ollr.createaforum.com/technical-archive/series-1-series-2-manuals-%28workshop-parts%29/
Find the parts catalogues invaluable on how things go together
and what things go where, also useful if ordering bits via mail
order however I always cross reference the part numbers with
LRseries just in case they have been superseded.

You may also find the likes of this...
  HTML https://sites.google.com/site/landroversearch/
useful. There's anotherone that searches suppliers based on teh
parts number, but I can't find it at the moment.

The only different one is the 109 S3 chassis bush. All other
chassis bushes are the same I think.

series 3 SWB front axle rear chassis bushes are longer to go
       through the chassis rail

lol after selling a corset that I didn't wear anymore (have
toned up too much for it to fit :banghead ) I brought a full
       polybush set :)
Next numpty question, do LWB rear springs fit onto a SWB?
Want to get some stiffer parabolics for the rear :)

I think they fit but do you really want to do it? Not
everything's better when it's stiffer. (fnarr, fnarr). I'll
wager that it'll be a bloody awful ride with LWB springs on a
       SWB.

Yeah, Snotter (88" series 3) had one-ton springs on the back and
was pretty horrendous. Looked like an old hot rod though.

After the Shitpart parabolics failed miserably on the 88 I
fitted a set of second hand TI Console parabolics on the 88,
they came off a 109 one ton so the rears were 4 leaf. It's sits
arse up now but the ride isn't bad, and the rear tyres don't rub
the tub when articulating like they used to with the Shitpart
       crap fitted.
