Mess with magnetic fields at Land Rover speeds and you could end
up in the past or the future or any where between. You have been
warned!

S210912J, yeah I realized afterward what you meant bud, yeah it
would work, an idea for the future ( no pun intended ).
88 mph that would be like going into orbit, scary. ;D

Ive done 83 in mine once by accident haha. Still had more to go
and thats only got a 2.5NA, did back off when i found out though
straight away
Was going by my speedo when I first drove it after putting the
recon injector pump in it, it had never shown above 50 and got
it to 70. Glanced at the sat nav and that said something else
entirely, did wonder why i passed a few nice saloons easily.
Only issue with 750s on a SWB I suppose!

Have to admit it was down a big hill though ;D
Got a free set of brand new injectors from work, just got to
swap the nozzles for landy ones and set the pressure slightly
higher than standard using the injector tester I've borrowed.
Should make it cruise nicely then with a little better fuel
economy, although I did do 450miles to a tank even fully loaded
with camping shit and a roofrack on top. All makes me very
reluctant to fit a turbo haha

If you don`t mind me asking but what sort of general cruising
speed, climbing speed etc do you get out of her?

usually I'll do around 55-60 on the flat as its a comfortable
speed to drive at noise wise and I dont have to worry about fuel
too much but does drop to 45-50ish on steeper hills on a dual
carriageway, If i hit the bottom of the hill a little faster
then it goes up a bit better (driving the non-turbo Ive learned
to read the road layout a bit better, like where to speed up for
hills and things like that), got to stir the gears a bit with
the overdrive then to keep her going at a decent pace. Its quite
rare I'll go faster unless I have to but its nice to know I can
just in case I come into a situation where I need to go a little
faster. Around 70, the fuel economy does drop off a fair bit.
Went to leafers in Wakefield last August and back to Holyhead on
the one tank, mostly Aroads going up and motorways/ dual
carriageway coming back, 55 all the way due to going in convoy
with my mate with his knackered petrol truck cab

alright your pretty much the same as me then, I too much have
thought about fitting a turbo but don`t know how much of a
different it would much make due to where I live its a lot of
hill climbing generally with no run up. cheers bud

Now then, how we all doing?
right I`ve got a week off work which is good, as it means I can
get a bit done.
so far I`ve finished the insulating in the cab area, also I`ve
made the head lining boards and joining strips for the rear.

This is a pair of captive bolts that hold the front of the radio
pod in also I weld the 10mm bolt in the middle as a earthing
point.
Now some nice frosty pictures,
