Hey up R-Rose, glad your still with me mate,
OK an update, all of the red paint finally finished, woohoo
and we've started on the upper sides, removing pop rivets that
were neither use nor ornament.
welding up holes that did nothing apart from let the
wind,rain,hail and other assorted crap into the truck and
finally making and fitting a corner rivet which had been removed
for god alone know what reason, flattening out and filling a
couple of serious dents.
and last but not least flatting down and the first base coat.

Thanks Captain, we're spraying it. I can't really take much
credit for the painting it's my old man who's done it, I've done
bit but he's far more experienced having been in the vehicle
game since he was a lad. Regards Chris

Thank Arjan, as much as I like the traditional bronze green and
marine blue, I do like this poppy red. It's what first grabbed
my attention in P.a.Blanchard's yard everything else was
military green and this old girl just stood out.

I would like to thank everyone who has given me advice, support
and for sticking with me through this.
I would also like to say that without my father`s constant
guidance, support, knowledge I would probably given up a long

good idea on the rear door :) i dont think i've seen that two
tone paint job to match hard top

That is one of the nicest looking Land Rovers I have seen for
some time,well done for sticking with it,you must be well proud
of what you have done. :thumbs:
The colour combination looks so right.
