       Insurance
   DIR By: Edwin Foden

So it is time to insure my Series 3 109, I wondered who people
recommend, I have just gone to the NFU due to ease in previous
years, but wonder if there is a better option?
Bear in mind I only did about 400 miles last year on the road, a
little on the farm, and a little shunting round in the yard.
       Regards
       Edwin

I've just insured mine with Adrian Flux, fully comp - £83 for 12
       months.

Mine's £85 with Flux. 1970 109 Diesel on the road every day, 8k
limit, and well within that every year.

       I fluttered my eyelashes...
I don't know. Probably something as silly as where I live.
I'd like to think that it was because I have been driving for 20
years, and the only blemish on my record is a parking ticket
(and even that was because the ticket I bought had fallen off
the window and landed face down!)

       I've got the hump now.
Mine's on a classic car policy with Adrian Flux only 3K miles
       per year and it's £100
I'll be asking at renewal time why it's so much.
And I've got a clean licence and been driving for 32 years
Or is it some silly perverse insurance logic that if I increase
the mileage limit, it goes down? A bit like when I got married,
I phoned my insurance to tell them I was married and to add my
wife as a named driver, and the premium went DOWN

My any driver over 25, unlimted miles, fully comp, commercial
insurance is quite good then at 99 quid.
I will probably stay with NFU shame I only have time to do
       about 400 miles! lol

Oh dear! 5k miles a year on mine.... maybe it was the eyelash
       fluttering after all!

I have kept my pick up with nfu and pay top wack (£300+) as no
other company would insure me (that I know of) if I wrecked it
on farm duties, including whatever trailer I had on at the time.
