'Jo', formerly 'The Beastie'

Well, it's about time I re-posted here. Part of the delay was I
no longer use photofucket, preferring Skydrive. Except no matter
what I tried this forum clearly does not like 'The Cloud'
So, instead of posting images, here is a link to all the images
I have:
HTML http://sdrv.ms/ZTJiQj
They're a bit of a jumble at the moment, not sure how I can
rearrange them into date order yet, but you'll get the idea.
I've had a bit of luck recently which means I can now finish Jo
and buy some 'luxury' items like a proper exhaust system (as
opposed to whatever bits and pieces I can salvage from the scrap
bin at work) and new door latches/locks. The only lock I
currently have is on the drivers door, and can be opened with a
fingernail :-?

Very nice
I have a similar job on my hands but I'm going to try and get
mine rolling and road legal before worrying about bodywork
paint.

Well I've just taken the plunge and ordered about £800 worth of
various bits and bobs I need to finish the project, and some
posh bits and pieces like carpets :haha:
Apart from an annoying fuel/air leak issue which I'm determined
to crack this weekend, a bit of a coolant weep which is either
my water pump that's about to die or something silly like a
loose bolt and the paint I'm just about done. Until I find
something else that is.

Good old Paddocks.
I was really looking forward to fitting all the new shinies I'd
ordered this weekend. Just had the delivery, and the bits I
wanted most this weekend are the bits the driver said "we
couldn't locate" whatever that means (well, it means I don't
have them) :banghead
When I got my 'items dispatched' email I was promised a further
'tracking information' email from them, but this has never
materialised (again..I seem to recall the same issue last time I
ordered from them)
No doubt I'll get all the bits but its so annoying.

Its annoying when you want to crack on with job :( Paddocks are
only about 45min from me so its not too far to go fetch stuff.
Dls & Morleys are even closer so dont have to rely on waiting
for the delivery man.

Well, to be fair to Paddocks I sent them a message via their
website and they have replied fairly quickly.
The Limestone paint I ordered is on back order, which is fine.
More worryingly my exhaust is still out for delivery. As they've
already delivered the rest, and given the drivers comment I am
slightly worried it may be 'lost'.
Still, at least I've got something to do this weekend :giddy:

Who was the delivery company, Steve?

Fedex. I know the guy, I send most of my deliveries via them,
he's said he'll keep an eye out for me.

Paddocks are not doing too well, so far:
Wiper blades - don't fit
Fuel filler cap - doesn't fit
Shackle pin nuts -wrong ones sent
Seat belt top mounts - don't fit. I specifically asked if they'd
fit a truck cab, they said yes, they don't
Halogen conversion kit -poor fit (one locating tab on back of
lenses is in the wrong place)
Het sender -wrong one sent.
Floor panels -scratched to buggery. They'll not be seen under
the carpets but that's not the point
Rear view mirror - doesn't fit properly
I'm not best pleased, I can get around some things but still not
good enough. :smiley-furious:

Quattro,
I got my wiper blades (new) off a chap on e-bay rather than risk
Paddocks, but I did replace both arms & blades together...
Halogen conversion headlights I got from Boltonbits -
recommended!
