Centre Consoles

I bloody hate em, I think they are handy however I just never
like the look of them and I think they look out of place in a
leafer. Which leaves me with a problem: Dogs like to put stuff
in their mouths, normally stuff which I can eat or find useful,
sometimes both. Which leaves me with a predicament, I want a
centre console that does not look like a centre console :-?
The solution:
Take one battery box from an FFR:

Cut the lid off and fit some hinges:

Give it a lick of paint:

Remove the old one:

And then fit:

Well, I think it looks good and IMHO is quite a good solution
for military vehicles :smilewide:

Matt black paint would have looked nicer and in keeping but

Looks better than a cubby box, even the name "cubby box" sounds

I have FFR boxes in 39 and CYD but they both have the battery
underneath (neither are military,obviously).
Vast improvement IMO Stuey 8)

I hate cubby boxes too and Stuey yours looked particularly gay

That is a good solution! :thumbs:
I saw an 80" once with a superb centre box which must have been
as old as the vehicle, all battered leather and brass hinges.
