Any tips for freeing clutch?

Any tips on freeing up the cutch?
I've bled it through and have pressure but the clutch
Won't free ( it has be standing for 15+ years)

First thing is the slave cylinder ok i had a siezed one and it
bled ok and i had a hard pedal but :smiley-furious: worth
checking.
Go for a drive off road if possible, put it in gear then start
it and off you go, keeping your foot pressed on the clutch pedal
the whole time, up hill and down dale, might break free.
I wonder if you put the rear axle on axle stands and in 2H start
in gear 3rd maybe, keep some rev's on and dab the foot brake
quite hard. While pressing the clutch pedal the whole time.

have a shufti on here and on the S2C - FenTiger has a virtually
fool rpoof method which has been detailed on here (or there) a
few times.
If I knew what it was, I would tell you, but I don't!!

ive just jacked it up started it in gear left it warm then
jarred the clutch pedal on an off always worked for me

Thanks Lucy!
Easy (and safest way) to free clutch:
Main gear lever in 4th
Transfer in neutral
Fire up engine with left foot on clutch and right foot hard on
brake.
Push transfer lever firmly forwards into high ratio (gear is
designed to go low-high)
Engine will probably stall, but clutch should free.
Try clutch for operation and repeat until freed. Can take a
couple of tries.
DO NOT try this is 1st or reverse. These are the weakest gears
in the series box and are easily broken....
4th is direct through the box.

The six pot station wagon has a tendency to do this, I free it
off as follows.
1) Jack up the rear of the vehicle and put it on chassis stands
so the wheels are off the ground
2) Start the engine with it in 4th gear high ratio (i.e. rear
wheel drive only!)
3) Accelerate to 40mph
4) Fully depress the clutch pedal then stamp on the footbrake.
The clutch frees off. I've tried 20 and 30mph and it doesn't
seem to be enough.
It's never failed for me, however I do have a field with lots of
space to do it in. Perhaps not ideal if the vehicle lurching
forwards would impact something or someone. :smile1

Not that I would recomend this:-
My dad freed off a stuck clutch by starting in 4th gear, driving
down the road and whilst pushing the clutch in he stamped on the
brakes repeatedly. The landy made it round the corner and onto
the next road before it decided to free up.
I would not recomend as strains the gearbox doing this.
