Thank you very much Paul, that's very kind of you!
I'll be over for Easter weekend, probably taking the Hook of
Holland-Harwich ferry. I'll be staying for a couple of days at
Lightweight Nat's place in Suffolk with Toby, Lozzaboy, Hodgy
and some others for the TDI transplant in Alfred.
Are you anywhere near there?

Great stuff,
I've always wanted to do some under the truck footage.
Figured I'd trash the cam.
Cheers

Its amazing to see the spring action to see just how much they
work. I have a renewed respect for the very rusty springs on my
S3....it's a wonder they work at all......

wire brush the outsides
paint with diesel
jack the chassis up to loosen then and liberally squirt waste
oil on them
load tub with roughly 100-150lbs of water in drums then take it
for a bumpy drive, this will break the rust up and start working
it out from between the leaves
liberally oil again over the next couple of weeks and work the
suspension, this will transform the ride from properly bone
jarring to only minor bone jarring
oiled and non-rusty springs work rather well
