Hi from the Channel Islands

Hi all, been lurking here for a while and absorbing information
so I thought that it was time I joined...
We have a 1974 diesel S3 that is in need of some TLC (New
bulkhead - got but not fitted, g/box rebuild and new doors). It
still goes although it does like to jump out of second at
inopportune moments. We have a 19J motor (intercooled) that may
(or not) replace the asthmatic 2.25 diesel, or we may see if a
top end rebuild will keep it on the roads until a 200TDi turns
up...
Anyhow, appreciating the wealth of opinion on this forum and
looking forwards to being able to post some photos of the old
girl after she's been seen to.

Spent lots of time in Guernsey as I grew up, top place (or back
then anyway!) :thumbs:

Hi and welcome. Iv been to Guernsey afew times with the scouts
and iv got to say its my dream place to live. Where abouts in
wales did you come from.

Parksy, it's still nice - but more spoilt. and built up - less
relaxed now and the fishing is cr*p...
welshlandy, from Abergavenny. Guernsey was my "dream" place too
- started coming over here in the '80s - it's rather expensive
now :( And shipping large landrover parts from the UK isn't
fun!!
