who underseals land rover wings

why its so far taken me 6 hours to strip under seal from my
series 1 wings i am now warm from paint stripper and high as a
kite on petrol fumes and still not got it all off all i want to
do is paint them.

Must have had the same PO as mine. I have a lovely galvanised
chassis. All painted in Waxoyl.

I undersealed the wings on mine. Don't make any sense to have
stone chips and salt being flung onto a bare metal, or painted,
surface. :confused:

Agreed - I've undersealed mine to sound deaden and provide some
additional protection.

It should come off with a scraper if you get it good and warm.

You're spending 6 hours stripping one protective layer off the
underside of your wings so that you can put another protective
layer on?? :-?
