I have a lumenition kit for my dormi, it came out of another
vehicle so is already fitted to a distributor. Was going to
whip the old one out and stick the new one in (keeping the old
one safely in vehicle as a back up), any probs with this? Also
do I need to upgrade the coil when I fit the kit, it currently
       has a lucas gold jobby.....
Then again maybe I shouldn't bother????

I use Pertronix electronics on my LBC's and there is no need to
change out the coil unless it is defective. Can't see why
Luminition should be any different. If you drive much, it sure
beats points (unless you like having extra stuff that needs
       fiddling with!). Andrew

A Lucas Gold should be fine.
Previous Lumenitions I've had have used standard coils.

Cheers Fella's... Yes, this one is going to be driven a lot
(Dormi) keeping it 2.25 albeit with a 9:1 head and ACR carb
conversion. I will pick up a spare for travelling to Europe
       (just in case)...
I miss my 2.25 diesel, no dark arts there, just goes!!! Should
be back on road soon though >Htlr<
