Chassis Painters.......

Recent work based activities has led me to big up some proper
paint to daub on ones chassis / steel / galv.
It applies a treat with a 4'' foam roller, doesn't drag, doesn't
run ( unless you are a mong) , brushes into the awkward bits
with the cheapest of brushes, and best of all sticks like 'calf
shit to a dashboard'.
I reckon it's what most digger buckets are painted with and if
you've ever had to grind it off its tuff stuff.
Its a bit like paint-on powder coat but it really bonds with
steel/galv and won't fall fowl of the dreaded bubbling from
beneath that powder coat does.
It's German and full of all the good ( bad) stuff

Cost?? Not much more than Hammershite and it is the dogs
danglies :smilewide:
( to quantifiy that. 15kg's = £225 including the dreaded; 15kgs
has coated 2no. x 4m x 3m cattle grids including the 300mm rsj
ring beam foundation, 40m's estate fencing and 10m of other
steel fencing ...with a bit left over)
You CAN get it in smaller quantities. I reckon 5kg would do a
chassis/ axles etc etc easilly . It does come in colour too if
satin black isn't your ting.

Where you get it.
What treatment does the manufacturer recommend to light surface
rust.

HHH; it's hedgehog friendly (it's not a gloss finish)

Mark, if your local paint shop ( could be familly type diy shop
or major concern) have an account with Sika then you're in.
Sika isn't an uncommon brand.
We got it in our very yocal diy store in Hadleigh (surprised
me) .
