Railway Top trumps

Came across my old pack of railway top trumps whilst in the loft
the other day. I reckon I bought them around 1979-1980.
Have scanned in a selection of them.
Anyone else remember them?

What a strange supertrump in the Whistler.... Freight, yet was
built as a crack express loco, and then the Deltic, a much more
amazing piece of engineering, yet not the Supertrump! Was it a
random thing?

Some of those might take some finding today - Not exactly many
class 124 or 117's about these days...

Albert,
Not sure why the 40 was chosen, perhaps it just looked the
business.
I can still remember the noise from a class 40 slowly
struggling up an incline near Millerhill on a loaded engineers
train one Sunday morning in the early 80's.
Only occasional visitors to Oxford though.
