200 Tdi with Fairey Capstan Winch?

Hi Guys and Girls,
I have been considering selling out and replacing the 2 1/4
petrol in my 88" with a 200 Tdi (or Di). The problem is that I
have a Fairey Capstan winch fitted.
I assume that the 200 block is about the same length as the 2
1/4, but that the crank pulley is totally different. Has anyone
managed to managed to make this combination work, or will I have
a tough decision to make?

Have a word with Luke, I think he used his A1 welding techniques
to make up an adapter. Of course, at my advanced age, it could
just be my memory playing tricks upon me! ;D

rob its the same crank as im using on a 2.5 petrol nut came off
my 2.5turbo
