Brake master cylinder type?

Hi, I'm trying to figure out which seal kit I need to order for
the master cylinder off of my 2B forward control. Am I right in
thinking it is a "CB" type and the same as those fitted to six
cylinder models? The body is 6" long, the bore is roughly 1
1/8", it has a large hex head on the end, is cast iron and has
311C70 (?) cast on one side and 083 on the other. :-?
If anyone knows which kit I need that'd be smashing, thanks

I have a repair next to me, marked 606415, which corresponds to
something like those domensions and has 6 pot written on it in
my own fair hand.
IIRC, craddocks sell these for £3 + vat.
Mine came from Davidson and McMillan who, despite being in
scotland, have always been reliable and quick when sending
parts.
I haven't got a CB cylinder next to me unfortunately.

Tis a CB as you thought, CV doesn't have the bolt type end.

I looked at overhauling one of these but for the cost of a new
one, decided to scrap it an get another one.
replacements aren't expensive and might be better if the bore is
slightly corroded...

I managed to find a 6 pot master cylinder, eventually, and with
a massive discount, was £150 (genuine old stock)

I bought 2 shitpart ones as I couldnt find a decent genuine one
(2nd one lives in the toolbox :thumbs:)...

Just got a genuine refurb kit for one of these from Dunsfold for
about £7 ish, give em a ring they where very helpful.

Thanks everyone, I've gone ahead and bought a new unit. I'll
keep the old one and rebuild it as a spare when I get around to
it.

best keep hold of the old one and look around for somewhere
that will re-sleeve and overhaul it.
