going nowhere..........

well i struggled to get up a sloped field
today................................. :haha: i ve come to the
conclusion that my old series 1 was so light it was better off
road whatever the tyres. Now in the heavier fire tender my shite
tyres just filled with mud ( what tread there is left) and i was
left spinning like a massive loser!
Now also to blame is the field! Its up on shap and is a ground
type i ve met before, really soft when wet and turns slick so
its like ice as soon as you look at it!
Anyway it all boils down to the fact i could do with some better
tyres. I would love to put bar grip 900s on but are they really
that bad on the road etc? the 900 continentals like bar grips
with extra grooves would be awesome but they are all so rare to
find. :smilewide:

Bar slicks are awful, especially on side slopes, had the 101
stepping out on damp tarmac without trying. Look for some xzls

Bar grips are not what you want if your going off road they're
shit!
You'll not beat a series 1 for off roading!

what i was thinking! bar grips are the easiest tyres to find in
large size at a not so silly price! 8.25 xzls are available but
i had some before and they were very noisey but the best i ve
seen so far. All the new sizes seem to be too wide and i dont
want horrible wide slidy tyres!

They still make the bar grips with extra grooves.
261177954873 is an item number for new ones on eBay. Sorry, I
don't know how to put a proper link in on my phone.

Insa Turbo Special Tracks.
Gay? Yes.
Effective? Very.
There's a reason all the trialers use them. If you don't want to
get stuck but aren't arsed about road noise.........

I was wondering who owned the fire tender.
