Glad to see you started mate. Ready for Czech then?
I would definitely be up for Czech in it, and of course, a lap
of a certain ring :smilewide:
Right, Saturday was a Snivel free day as I had to help my old
man take a roof off and this morning was a right off due to some
bastard spiking my cider with alcohol last night, but I did get
a bit done this afternoon.

The drivers footwell was not as bad as the other one so I am
saving it, but I have put a couple of plates in it. New door
pillar and foot also on and top corner repaired. Also some black
paint as I have ran out of primer.

That'll do.

Looking fairly even. Now I just have that large center section
grinning at me :o
Can't do anything tomorrow as I'm on a stupid course but might
get to her on Tues, Cheers and gone

Made some headway today, I started by cleaning out the dash and
removing/dewiring the panel of extra gauges someone had added.
HTML http://i1147.photobucket.com/albums/o547/mikelr109/FC004_zpsf0345bb1.jpg[/img]
And found this, it's been a while...
HTML http://i1147.photobucket.com/albums/o547/mikelr109/FC007_zpsbd6c4c86.jpg[/img]
I then started work on the centre section, starting by stripping
everything off.

HTML http://i1147.photobucket.com/albums/o547/mikelr109/FC002_zps2d2f9197.jpg[/img]
I then cut out the middle to find there wasn't much left of the
inner panel...
HTML http://i1147.photobucket.com/albums/o547/mikelr109/FC005_zps4d02bedd.jpg[/img]
So I started by repairing the that bit.
HTML http://i1147.photobucket.com/albums/o547/mikelr109/FC008_zps3f0ad320.jpg[/img]
And I got some primer on it. I'm not sure what to do with the
bit where the loom comes out, thinking of riveting a piece in to
save melting the loom :-?

I'll make a start on the outer piece and vent surrounds next,
it's getting there...

Wow! A bulkhead beyond repair being repaired. You must be
tempted to do away with the vents - I know I would.

There's no such thing as beyond repair, some of us are just
crazier than others!
I'm going to do my best to keep the vents, I've seen them plated
over before and it looks weird, We'll see how it goes...

I think that just wrecks the whole thing and makes it look
totally bodged! It can't be that hard to get another scrap
bulkhead and use the bottom half of the vent.
Great work so far Mike! 8)

Let me have a check in the garage Mike, as I may have some lower
vent panel repair sections left over from repairing the top of a
bulkhead. The repair panel for the whole of the vents exists,
but is just a pressing, so you have to cut the vent holes out.
