Snivel, my 2B forward Control...

IT HAS BEGUN!

I have started a new thread for my FC in the members section as
the old thread was in the technical bit and derived from an old
question I asked, so, here it goes...
Today I've finally made a start on the old girl, which has
acquired the name Snivel due to her reg plate...
This morning I turfed my old mans series 2 out into the field
as it has been taking up valuable hard standing now for eighteen
months and not seen a spanner. I then set about removing the
home made top from Snivel, I was originally going to leave it on
but it's not actually that well made and needs so much work I've
decided to ditch it . This, I thought, would be a
straightforward task, I was so badly mistaken... Sixty painted
over, rusty self tapping screws, about a thousand poprivets,
several bolts and just to make sure, a few welds, were what held
it on. Working on my own I got it off in around four hours.

I'm glad I did this as I think it looks much better without.
At the moment my plan is to do everything necessary to get her
road worthy and not worry about any cosmetic stuff as I'm not
one for shiney Land Rovers and I really want to use her. I fired
her up and drove her onto the hard standing, I'll get some more
pictures but it got dark. First job is to tackle the bulkhead,
which upon close scrutiny, isn't as bad as I had first thought.

Looks like it is picking up the numbers in your links that are
automatically put there by host. Only way round it is to get the
post thing switched off, will see what I can do...

Great news that you have a moving project as well. Having a
static FC outside the house is a bit of a drag, dont ask me how
