Well I was there today - and it was like winter up there!
Blooming freezing! Quite a few series motors up there, but for
some reason the 'Doncaster Defenders' had a display, which
consisted mostly of Disco's - not my idea of vintage!
Didn't see Steif there either - did you bail out?

My experience the last two years I have been left me pretty cold
to this event... Both times I went in a classic (first time in
the 88", then the following year in the GT6). To be turned away
both times to be put into the normal car park, only to find lots
of modern 4x4s in the show was a bit disappointing. Granted, I
had not booked in either time, but the field offered more than
ample space for lots more vehicles on both occaisions. I would
gladly have paid the same price and parked my vehicle on
display!
The loud dance music and chavvy fairground rides seem be
encroaching across more of the showfield each year too... Not my
scene!
Many engines there this year?

If you mean steamers - then sadly no. A roller, and 6 wheel
Sentinel, the rest were all miniatures.....
